If there is anyone I trust to genetically engineer humans, it’s Google. I’m sure nothing can go wrong here.
All of this was “predicted” almost 20 years ago. Why does Hollywood always tell us what they have planned for us?

Scientists at Google DeepMind have built an artificial intelligence program that can predict whether millions of genetic mutations are either harmless or likely to cause disease, in an effort to speed up research and the diagnosis of rare disorders.
The program makes predictions about so-called missense mutations, where a single letter is misspelt in the DNA code. Such mutations are often harmless but they can disrupt how proteins work and cause diseases from cystic fibrosis and sickle-cell anaemia to cancer and problems with brain development.
Modern man is so murderous and devoid of morals that this will probably result in Nazi eugenics, get rid of those undesirables, the “useless eaters”, the error of utilitarianism. In a fallen world which one of us probably isn’t going to have something go haywire with our bodies if we live long enough?
‘Gattaca’ is an excellent movie BTW, well worth a rental if you haven’t seen it.

Google just came thru our neighborhood to bury fiber optic cable. They didn’t bury it under the grass like most utility company’s do. They actually cut a foot-deep slot in the road along the concrete curb. Absolutely butchered the streets. And then did a horrendous job refilling the slots with some kind of nasty grout. That crap is all over the road.
If Google ran a restaurant, I wouldn’t eat there.
