I have friends who have been to India. I hear it is filthy overall. It is a wonder that a higher percentage of people don’t die from something fast there. A lot of areas don’t even have central plumbing. Dead people are throw into the Sacred river and people bathe in it for one example.

Growing up in that contaminated, germ laden environment must give them phenomenal immune systems.
All the viruses and germs cancel each other out.
Only once did I stay there for 3 days at a friend’s place in a suburb. It was like cheap Western standards. I walked from store to store in the 120 degree weather.
Now Kabul, that’s dirty, but even it has upscale areas.
