He is right. Which is a very good reason for us to support Ukraine by giving it whatever weapons are necessary to drive out the Russian invaders.

Back in 1994 we convinced Ukraine, then the 3rd largest military in the world, to give up their huge arsenal of nuclear weapons, intercontinental ballistic missiles, and much of them conventional armaments, in return for a promise to protect them.

If we had not made that deal with Ukraine they would be in an entirely different situation today, and our nation would have to worry about another foreign nation capable of launching nuclear missiles anywhere they wanted to.

If we don't live up to our promise from 1994, then no nation will ever agree to reduce their nuclear arsenals in the future, and every nation will seek nuclear weapons to protect themselves.

Helping Ukraine defeat Russia will save us trillions of dollars of future defense spending, and keep out kids from having to fight against Russia when they decide to invade a NATO country.

"Helping Ukraine defeat Russia will save us trillions of dollars of future defense spending..."

And making those politicians supporting the war, their friends, family members and big donors richer by the day. I don't give two $hits about Russia or Ukraine. I don't give a crap what Mike Pence says either. Russia and Ukraine are both corrupt countries, and both have made politicians here on both sides of the aisle rich. There is no reason to send billions of dollars to a country we have no national security interest in. The fact that billions of dollars are being sent there, with no accountability whatsoever as to where it is going, should make you cringe, not celebrate it. I'm more interested in what is going on at our southern border, the destruction of our economy here, the loss of our God-given rights, stolen elections, etc., than I am about what is going on in Europe. That's Europe's problem, not ours. We've been fighting proxy wars with Russia and China since the Korean War, and it hasn't stopped the commies from taking ahold of this country from within. We've got our own battle for survival going on right here, and you're standing there saying: "But...but...but Russia."

"If we don't live up to our promise from 1994"

Who was President in 1994? Bill Clinton who gave super computers, and sold missile secrets to communist China. Then took in illegal campaign funds from China's money bundlers. The Clinton Administration, and the Clinton's specifically, never made a deal that didn't benefit their pockets...not the taxpayers of this country, but them. And who signed that memorandum for the U.S.? Then Ambassador Donald M. Blinken, the father of the moron who is now Secretary of State. And now we have a Manchurian Candidate who has usurped the Presidency, and whose family, along with him have made millions from both China and Ukraine, and you are all gung-ho to give him, and the rest of the Neo-cons like Mike Pence a blank check for Ukraine. Do it then with your money, not mine. America first!
