I have a theory about that. He was hob-nobbing with the likes of the Clintons and other leftists. I’m betting he let his personal beliefs be known to one of those high-profile personas and they informed the other leftist PTBs that he had switched sides and where he stood politically. At that point they were seeking revenge and to destroy him for daring to betray the Democrats. You know how they roll whenever someone leaves the Marxist plantation.

It may be the Left thought Trump was one of them, on their side, of a mind with them. So when he announced his candidacy on an appeal to middle class Americans, the group most despised and hated by Leftists, it was received by them as treachery.
