I mean...technically doesn’t he have to distance himself from all super pacs? Wouldn’t it just make him a cheater, and thus a Democrat, if he didn’t?

This is a fake Super PAC.

I could set up a Super PAC tomorrow, "Trump to the Rescue!" Me and my four friends plan to raise $20 million each for Trump.

But Trump posts something stupid on Truth Social so we shut it down. We never raised more than a couple hundred bucks but the headlines would read, "$100 million Trump Super PAC shuts down."

Before the Twitter Spaces launch, the strategist, who has worked on races in 49 states, had a swath of donors who wanted to put up ‘seven- and eight-figure support’ for DeSantis.

The PAC only ended up spending around $20,000 on grassroots efforts to drum up support for the governor.

‘There was never any moment that gave donors any encouragement, like ‘well now is the time.’’ So everything just kind of dried up,’ said Thomas.
