Another sign that Luke 14:23 is in the future and not the past is Israel’s lack of a temple and preparation (yet) for a revival of the daily sacrifice (of red heifers I believe).

Daniel 9:27 tells us that this “man of sin” AKA the beast” here called “the prince” will stop the daily sacrifice “in the middle of the 70th Week” (half-way through the 7-year tribulation). Elsewhere scripture tells us this “man of sin” will “...as God sit in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God” (2 Thess. 2:4). So there has to be a temple built and a sacrifice in process in Israel during the first part of the tribulation.

If interested, for context and further reading and review...

Daniel 9:24-27 prophesies the future (at that time) 490 years of Israel in terms of 70 weeks (one week = seven years). The last week, the 70th Week, is the seven-year tribulation (”a time of great trouble such as never there was since there was a nation” Dan. 12:1) which we now know has been separated from the 69th Week (Jesus death on the cross (Dan 9:26)) so far for about 2000 years.

I should clarify in that the Scripture I cited from Luke would be a Scripture to the Jews, regarding the (physical) return of Jesus.

In my view, based on my understanding of Scripture is that the prophecies contained in the Gospels references the seven year tribulation. Those left behind having missed the Rapture event precluding the beginning of the seven year tribulation.

The Scripture in Luke 21 I quoted specifies the events which will occur during the Tribulation as it relates most specifically to the Jews during this time soon to come.

If these events, noted in the Scriptures relating to the times of Jacob’s woes are presently being fulfilled and the stage is being set for all to be concluded, then how much sooner will the Rapture ocurre?

Regarding the message to the church age Dispensation, concluding with a period of overlap during the tribulation period, we need to consult the words written by the chosen Apostle unto the Gentiles. That being the Apostle Paul.

He spoke of that blessed event, our hope, the Rapture .

Beginning around the time of Israel’s rebirth, God begun to turn His attention back to the Jews, just as was prophesied. (See Romans chapter 11)

As for the Temple, all preparations are in place and the Temple could be rebuilt in short order. This timing could very well begin with a deal negotiated with present world leaders.

Even the furnishings are prepared as well by all indication, are the red heifers available by all appearances.

But my hope rests in the soon coming event when that Trumpet shall sound and Revelation 4:1 comes to pass, Come up hither and I will show you things to come.”

John had the vision of a prophecy soon to come to pass.

1’st Thessalonians 4:

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

In agreement with the added clarity that the 70’th week begins with the signing of the false seven year covenent, (an agreement made between the antichrist and Israel) thus, the beginning of the 70’th week. The times of Jacob’s woes.

The point of the mid tribulation period, 3 1/2 years from the start of the tribulation period, will be the fulfillment of prophecy regarding the abomination of desolation. The time which the antichrist sits himself on the throne of the rebuild temple, declaring himself to be (g)od.

Also a point of which will begin the second half of the great tribulation.
