Much of the time, I don’t really believe people like that ignorant douchebag Philip Bump really believe their own BS.
I think they just enjoy gaslighting us, knowing full well what they say are lies.
But he appears to believe his own BS. Really.
Read Bump's analysis of the Russia Hoax two years ago. He won't let it go. He still believes that Trump colluded with the Russians. Bump is a CIA mouthpiece. He has written many articles defending Hillary and denying the Russia Hoax.
If he believed his own BS he wouldn’t get angry. When he is grabbed by the back of his neck and has his face shoved into his own shit he KNOWS it’s shit and he raves like the faux god he is.
Hard to know. We hear so much about “unconscious bias” yet these people don’t see it in themselves. He says there’s “no evidence” but when presented with some he just dismisses it as “I don’t know what that could mean”. Ok. Isn’t that your job? How about you scratch beneath the surface? They’re not interested in doing so but then claim “there’s no evidence”.
It’s absurd. It’s not journalism.
