Getting clearer day by day:

I’m guessing this references Keyhole type birds? I stopped paying attention after the KH-12 long ago.

Russia is not in The Ukraine.

They're in the Russian Federation.

So simple, even a caveman can understand it.

Some argue: “But NATO has thousands of satellites, Russia can’t shoot them all down.” They conflate things like GPS and Starlink, which are small mass-produceable modules that dot the earth’s orbit. But in terms of actual enterprise level optoelectrical or E/O satellites, they have very few. The U.S. has a grand total of 5 giant optoelectrical satellitse it relies on, each costing over $5 billion dollars. Those would come down in flaming wrecks to Russian A-235 Nudol missiles and U.S. would be blind.
*********************************************************************************
They would neither “come down” nor be “flaming wrecks”. They would be blown into hundreds (more likely thousands) of fragments that would remain in orbit like a vast cloud of small bits that could destroy other satellites that they could subsequently (sometimes years later) impact.

Very entertaining, in a humorous sort of way. Russia has been retreating since the initial invasion. Now they’re in a defensive position, hoping that their opposition will get tired of fighting, so they can salvage something out of this war.

Russia is not in The Ukraine. They're in the Russian Federation. So simple, even a caveman can understand it.

The only countries that acknowledge that are

::drumroll::

Russia, Belarus, North Korea, Nicaragua, and Syria.

Doesn't that pathetic parade of clown states give you any pause? Or are you just completely oblivious to the rest of the entire world rejecting Russia's claims?

Don't look now, but China's new national map just claimed some Russian territory.

'Partnership without limits' I guess has some secret provisions?

The Kremlin had not commented as of Thursday on a new map that shows disputed territory as being within China's borders, including Bolshoi Ussuriysky Island, which is shared by China and Russia.

Malaysia, the Philippines, India and Taiwan have all complained about the map, published by China's Ministry of Natural Resources. The map lays claim to land on China's border with India, all of Taiwan, and islands, reefs and maritime zones in the South China Sea, which are contested by half a dozen countries.

Are the Russians afraid to speak up?

a fait accompli, undelivered F-16 guy.

At least the Ukie High Command hasn't killed any of their prospective F-16 pilots in the last couple of days - that we know of...

a fait accompli

That phrase has a specific meaning in English.

noun

a thing that has already happened or been decided before those affected hear about it, leaving them with no option but to accept it.

Russia declared Kherson annexed on Sept 30th, 2022.

On November 9, 2022, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered Russian forces to withdraw from Kherson. Remember, even you quoted the Russians as acknowledging the Ukrainians had driven them into a "futile" position.

Someone forgot to tell the Russians that the Ukrainians 'had no option but to accept it.'

undelivered F-16 guy.

Still struggling with English?

Then explain the difference between the words "give" and "delivery".

The first is what I wrote, the second is your strawman, can you explain how they differ?

You don't do explain the difference because it exposes the fraudulent semantics you're engaging in while you try and avoid answering any questions about Russians retreats.

There is no quote by me asserting that F-16 deliveries won't happen.

Liar. In posts #137, #135 and #129 you called them "vaporware". I've had an over two decade career in IT, and that term has a meaning:

In the computer industry, vaporware is a product, typically computer hardware or software, that is announced to the general public but is late, never actually manufactured, or officially cancelled.

You're probably not stupid enough to assert the F-16s that Denmark and Norway have given to Ukraine were never manufactured, do you want to assert that the transfer will be officially cancelled? Or is this another English term you struggle to effectively understand in context?

You say a lot of stupid things. I'm trying to pin down why you say them. Why bring up a proposed 8x artillery advantage, if it doesn't translate to any advantage on the battlefield?

You still have no answers, because answering the questions exposes your fantasies don't match the on the ground reality of Russian retreats since March of '22.

You ducked the questions again, you feckless coward.

We're observing a peer-to-peer war in The Ukraine, where the PEER adversaries are slugging it out like an Irish stand-down. Only Russia has an 8 to 1 advantage in artillery, and has totally degraded the Ukrainian air defense system.

If Russia still possesses an 8-1 advantage, why do you consider Ukraine their peer? Shouldn't the side with 8x the artillery be considerably superior to the side that has only 1/8th the artillery? You have no answers.

Why, with this presumed enormous artillery advantage, did the Russians find themselves forced back from Nikolaev into a "futile" position in Kherson where they were forced to flee across the river? You have no answers.

How bad does the Russian army suck to possess an 8-1 advantage in artillery and still get forced into retreat after retreat by the foe you started the war with? You have no answers.

Why do you think that is happening to the Russian forces if they possess this massive superiority in arms? Are they not even 1/8th as competent as the Ukrainians? You have no answers.

What's the reason for their repeated reversals and retreats from "futile" fighting positions in Ukraine? You have no answers.

How do you explain it to yourself? You have no answers.

Can you explain now how you'll pivot when the F-16s are delivered like the other promised weapon systems have been? Will you try to convince yourself that Ukraine is worse off replacing Soviet Cold War gear with NATO Cold War gear? How will you spin it to yourself? You have no answers.

I predict you'll evade and spin, and refuse to address these questions because you actually have no answer. There is no explanation for what is happening in reality juxtaposed with your fantasies about Russian combat strength.

I’m not going to quit putting your intellectual cowardice on display by posing these questions you’re too afraid to answer every time you interact with me. When F-16 deliveries take place I’ll be sure to include your quotes asserting it won’t happen. Any other predictions you want to make now for me to include?

It's French, not English.

BTW - you probably don't know this, because you're a DEI hire in the IT industry, but the French and the Russians had great cultural traffic once upon a time.

Still do to some extent, in the older generation.

On the F-16 front:

HOW MANY F16S WILL UKRAINE GET?

Denmark will deliver 19 jets in total with the initial six due around the end of the year, followed by eight in 2024 and five in 2025, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said on Aug 20.

Say - isn't the end of December four months from now?

It's French, not English.

The etymology is French, but the French literal meaning is a proven fact that has been accomplished prior, and doesn't carry the English connotation that nothing can be done about it. Certainly not an apt description of Russia's annexation efforts!

You're the Ralph Wiggum of FreeRepublic:
