Under the video, to the right, there are Share/Save buttons and a round button to the right of those.
Left-click on the round button, and a menu will come up.
The choices are: Report or Show Transcript.
Select Show Transcript.
The transcript will appear to the right of the video.
Place your cursor on the transcript wording, left-click and hold.
Drag the cursor/mouse down to the end of the transcript, blue-highlighting it as you go.
When you get to the end and the text of the transcript is all blue-highlighted, you can release the cursor/mouse and the text will remain highlighted.
Do a Ctrl-C [copy], which will copy the blue-highlighted text to the system clipboard.
Open a notepad or other text editor.
In the notepad, do a Ctrl-V [paste].
You'll have your text.
You can read it, or do what I did.
“”Place your cursor on the transcript wording, left-click and hold.
Drag the cursor/mouse down to the end of the transcript, blue-highlighting it as you go.””
These instructions will ABSOLUTELY work.
One thing that could help anyone who might have issues with moving the mouse and highlighting. Once you have highlighted a word or phrase, click Ctrl-A. It will highlight everything. Then follow the instructions (copy, paste, etc.)
Sometimes Ctrl-A can highlight too much. If it does, just edit after you use Ctrl-P (paste).
Thanks kiryandil.
Thanks! Got it!
