The blades are fiberglass. Ever try to get rid of a fiberglass boat hull?

It also takes energy out of the ecosystem. That’s right. The Brilliant Solution from the Brilliant People to this imaginary Environmental Crisis of Climate Change is to remove energy from a crucial component of the O-So-Delicately-Balanced Ecosystem, and make Electricity by slowing down the Wind; which…anyone? …Anyone?… Bueller? That’s right. Slower wind means warmer planet surface, which means… global warming.

Read the article. The firm that collected them is a fiberglass recycling firm. Most likely they had a client that balked or went under during the coronavirus recession.

How many Corvettes could a company make from that and other piles?

Why not just stack them underneath the solar panels?
Don't tell the Big Guy. He'll appoint a czar to make that happen...for 10%.

Your foolish assumption is faulty. I read the entire article.
The folks there living with the environmental eyesore, the rats, snakes, misquitoes are tired of hearing promises that the recycling will begin “soon.”
A functional business has equipment in place and operating. And they pay their taxes. Scam companies milk it, then default & go bankrupt.

I still argue that the the cost to build and maintain a windmill outweighs its benefit. It takes TRUCKLOADS OF CEMENT and REBAR just for the foundation, to hold these silly things up. Check out YouTube videos.

Fiberglass is not recyclable. The process breaks the fibers and it loses it strength. They might have thought they were going to recycle, but they didn’t know what they were doing. Look it up yourself.
