No, you can have both is the fallacy.
I think we are on the same page about what we would like to see happen.
I purpose that Trump would never pick a VP cynically based on her being a woman or them being black. The VP is a heartbeat away from the Presidency and it is too important not to pick the person who would best be able to keep America safe &MAGA. Too important not to pick the best.

There are political calculations that go into the choice of VP, including what they will bring to the table in winning the election but looking for a “woamn” is a bridge too far. Trump has nothing against women. He has picked women for cabinet positions and promoted women within his organization to very senior postions. If in his judgement the person he picks as best for his VP is a woman that is not an issue. But looking for a woman is cynical and does not serve America well. Also Trump is a very moral man and believes in the best person for the job (when Mitch doesn’t have him by the unmentionables). We are in good hands.

Not so.

You are saying that a candidate cannot be both a woman and have all the other qualities Trump is looking for. That of course is not true.

Balancing a ticket is what every presidential candidate tries to do. Trump, like everyone before him, will line up the potential VEEP candidates and pick the one who best provides the qualities he's looking for. And that's a matter of balancing all those qualities.
