Tegan Cay, South Carolina. It was the best of many employer driven relocations for our family, and it is great for all stages of life living. Every day was wonderful.
(Tega Cay) darn auto spell.
You should come to Kansas. Its flat here.
Jobwise, SC is Columbia (hot), Charleston(expensive), Myrtle Beach(crowded during the summer) and Greenville(really nice). Parts of SC are a suburb of Charlotte.
So your decision is beach, flatlands and hills. Once you make that decision, look for jobs in that area and check Zillow for real estate.
“You should come to Kansas. Its flat here.”
It is that.
Not to mention the Yankees losing streak.
I’m in the northeast corner of Alabama - Love it here!

About two months AFTER I was settled into a job in Pennsylvania, I got multiple requests for interviews.
I think it might be southern style to weed out candidates who were as impatient as I was. Southerners are welcome to confirm or deny.
Well, i am in west michigan. Every business in my town has a help wanted sign out front. Cost of homes medium to high. Do not know about apartments.
Dear Wastedyears,
I just got off the phone with a cousin in South Carolina. She told me they are completely full and recommended you seek out someplace else. She highly recommended northwest Washington.
First question, from all of us that live in the South... Are you a Democrat - Republican - Moderate?
If you’re a Democrat or Moderate, stay in Brooklyn or move to Cary, NC with all the other NYers.
If you’re a Republican, love this country, have NO issues with the 2nd Amendment, the Flag, the National Anthem, plus a few more things, then feel free to make a move. Lots of places along the coast.
My advice...take some time off, start in Wilmington, NC and drive south along 17. But DO NOT stop in Myrtle(Murder) Beach. Nothing to see there.
Greenville(really nice)
In the mountains. Getting expensive. Getting very liberal
Do you currently own your home or rent? If you have some equity built up, that may have a bearing on your decision.
Huntsville, Huntsville, Huntsville.
For July, they had 14,000 new jobs show up.
Number One Rule when seeking new employment: Never Knock Your Current Employer. Period. Ever. For Anything. Especially on a public website. Doesn't matter if you don't name names. Or think you have anonymity. It says a lot about your mindset, which will leak into your communications and interviews with prospective new employers. We don't need damaged goods transferring from blue states to red states. A lot of that is happening now. Until you reexamine your need to blame everything you think is wrong with your life on your current employer, stay the hell up North where you belong.
No charge for the tough love.
It's like dating, Never talk bad about a person you dated in the past.
One of the fastest growing areas in South Carolina is Ft. Mill, which is just across the border from Charlotte, North Carolina. One of the biggest employers is LPL Financial, which anchors an attractive commercial park along with AmerisourceBergen. Give ‘em a shot. Best of luck to you.
