It seems to me that DeSantis -- who has done some great things in Florida -- is staking his 2028 presidential run on the off-chance that Trump will not be "allowed" to run in the 2024 election. Either that, or it could be that DeSantis fears he will lose his political charisma by the time 2028 rolls around.

Of course, all of this is moot if the Democrat/Communists "win" again; in which case they will have total control of elections for the foreseeable future.

Have to agree with that. He has nobody to blame but himself, either. He blew up his only (potential) strength - he would carry on Trump’s policies but without all of the drama. Well...his MO since starting the campaign has been that the Trump policies and the Trump years weren’t actually that good - well if that’s the case, all of the mess we are in isn’t actually Biden’s / Democrats’ fault? It was actually Trump/Republicans? Undermines the only potential strength he would have had in the primary, and then undermines the narrative as to why Biden should be removed. Lose/lose all around.
