On Thursday, Hawaii Attorney General Anne Lopez announced that an investigation had been launched into the response to the wildfires that have killed at least 110 people and led to widespread destruction across the island of Maui.
The review, set to be conducted by an independent third party, will analyze why state and county officials made the decisions they did both in the lead-up to the fires and while they ravaged the area.
"This will be an impartial, independent review," Lopez said in a statement. "Having a third-party conduct the review will ensure accountability and transparency and reassure the people of Hawaii that all of the facts will be uncovered."
Lopez explained that the information collected during the review "will be used to assess the performance in emergency preparedness" and to "look at this critical incident to facilitate any necessary corrective action and to advance future emergency preparedness."
The process is expected to take months, and Lopez emphasized that they would be "taking the necessary time to follow the facts wherever they lead."
Governor Josh Green, who asked Lopez to initiate the procedure, emphasized that the review was "not a criminal investigation in any way," and that the goal was simply to "find out how we can make sure it's safe as we go through hurricane season, as we deal with the reality that there will be fires month in and month out for the decades to come."
The decision was lauded by many Hawaiian politicians, including State Senator Jarrett Keohokalole, who said, "an independent review will ensure that all aspects of the incident, including any potential shortcomings in preparation, response, and communication, are thoroughly examined."

That's part of the problem right there... calling this false-flag op a "wildfire", when it was anything but that.
so they weren’t overpowered by the fake climate crisis it was human failure
Whypipo upset Pele with a telescope on their Mana…
Pele started fire.
NO SUCH THING. The third party is beholding to whoever pays them.
There is also no such thing as an independent Inspector General.
The only people even remotely without a conflict of interest is the man who says, "I have conflicts of interest and there they are."
Is not commenting on an ongoing investigation a good thing? What is the reason for that? What would be wrong with legally allowing comments on ongoing investigations?
To white wash it they mean. If the “investigators” try to tell the truth. They will kick their asses out and get those who will stick to the Company Line.
They will follow them until they can find a Republican to blame.
This thread sounds like a low-rent rumor mill. A false flag op? Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Was there a Soros guy up on hills behind Lahaina setting brush fires? Gail force winds, downed power lines, along with dry grass, sparse inland infrastructure, wood frame structures and the complacency that goes along with nothing like this happening before in memory on the Islands, again combined with liberal unpreparedness and mismanagement made for a perfect storm event, ripe for conspiracy theorists to thrive in even before all the bodies are found. This event will reverberate for many decades for many different reasons, but not because it was a ‘false-flag’ operation. Gimme a friggen break.
sp Gale: A gale is a strong wind; the word is typically used as a descriptor in nautical contexts. The U.S. National Weather Service defines a gale as sustained surface winds moving at a speed of between 34 and 47 knots (63–87 km/h, 17.5–24.2 m/s or 39–54 miles/hour). (wiki)
Before digging into “Wildfire Response”, how about digging into the REAL cause of this wildfire?
I keep hearing “global warming” and “climate change” from the media, but what if it was man-made? An accident?
This one they can really blame on “Climate Change”.
If the government and the electric company weren’t so concerned about spending every last cent on “renewable energy”, they would have had enough money to clear the brush above Lahaina and they would have maintained the power lines so they could withstand powerful winds.
And we can also blame D.I.E. for hiring idiots to run the water resources and emergency response.
It was a perfect storm of Diversiy, Inclusion and Equity hiring practices and climate change idiots working together to (as Scrooge would put it) decrease the surplus population.
Diversity, Inclusion and Equity.
DIE.
It was downed power lines and a buildup of dried brush and a deliberate act to withhold water from the fire department. That and a refusal to trigger the warning system.
It was gross negligence by the power company, the water board and the government.
The investigator will cover it all up. That will be his job.
Im sure Merrick Garland will recommend someone...........
There is non guarantee that the third party is a completely unbiased and objective source.
At this point, they do not have a clue regarding the magnitude of what happened. If they ever get around to identifying the Chinese direct energy attack on their Island, it will be a surprise to me. This was a Chinese attack on the U.S. and it lays claim to conquering Hawaii as the forward launch base to attack the U.S. The public is sleeping on security watch. Ask yourself why the U.S. Space Force just launched a killer satellite.
