I read that Oprah has recently been buying up land in this town and somehow her land was not burned. Don?t know if that’s true.

Not true - Oprah has land around Wailea and Kula on the west side of Maui.

TBH, Lahaina is not the kind of place billionaires want. It was a tourist town, not good for beaches, and not the prettiest area on Maui.
