How Convenient: Hawaii Governor Reveals State Plans “to Acquire Land” Ravaged by Wildfires (VIDEO)

On Monday, Hawaii’s Democrat Governor Josh Green announced that his administration is actively considering acquiring properties in Lahaina that have been devastated by recent wildfires.

A total of 99 deaths were recorded as a result of the wildfires that occurred in Maui. Concerns have been raised among officials regarding the potential increase in the death toll, as just 25% of the burn area has been searched thus far.

Local residents are grappling with not only the loss of homes and loved ones but the unsettling attention of developers looking to capitalize on their tragedy.

USA Today reported a particularly distressing account of Tammy Kaililaau, whose home of 20 years was reduced to ashes.

Less than a week after the catastrophic event, she received a Facebook message from someone in real estate. Kaililaau, along with other residents, had been warned via social media that developers might try to buy their land, so she ignored the message.

John Dimuro, a resident on the island for more than 40 years and an employee for Marriott in West Maui, summed up the local sentiment against large corporations or wealthy individuals buying up the land. “The government should just say ‘no, you’re not allowed to develop,'” he said on Monday. “Say no, just flat out no.”

Governor Green vowed to “protect” the land from foreign buyers looking to exploit the situation, The Post Millenial reported.

Governor Green expressed his determination to prevent this tragedy from becoming a mere memory or a chance for foreign investors to capitalize on the misfortune of others.

Don’t people already in the land and don’t they have insurance to cover any losses?

So true. I’m hearing that the Kingdom of Hawaii is going to become an independent state after all this chaos concludes. The deep state is hoping to buy up as much of it as they can. Now that they’ve burned it to the ground with DEWs.

“I think it was the plan all along.”

You bet it was... The Communist take over is at the stage of converting all private property to State owned property. Literally.

com·mu·nism

1 a: a system in which goods are owned in common and are available to all as needed

b: a theory advocating elimination of private property

“Land, see Snatch!”

Obviously this situation is no comedy but it's amazing how close a movie like Blazing Saddles can come to reality. The political conjuring and scheming is all there.

“The government should just say ‘no, you’re not allowed to develop. Say no, just flat out no.”

Wishful thinking, Mr. Dimuro. Sadly, developers own the states, county commissions, and city councils. They get their way.

I read that the Governor has already announced they plan to purchase large amounts of burned land. IF THAT’S NOT AN ‘IN YOUR FACE’ ADMISSION OF COMPLICITY IN THESE FIRES I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS.

A raging wildfire... just a convenient way to force the Native Hawaiians and local-born off the island. It has been a problem for decades that the locals are being forced off their homeland so the affluent can build their vacation homes in paradise and the developers can build luxury tourist resorts. The locals who have been there for generations, they can stuff it. Maybe they'll build a government dormitory where they can live in squalor and work for slave wages at the luxury resorts that will be built where their homes used to stand.

I have no doubt they are already planning a replacement "historic fishing village" that will be about as authentic as any Disney theme park. And of course, the government officials will pocket their share. Unfortunately, I doubt even this will wake up Hawaii as to what is really going on in their midst.

If the census data is accurate, most of the residents of Lahaina aren’t/weren’t of native Hawaiian ancestry.

Bet that explains a lot.

Interesting information in this Tik-Tok video from a citizen journalist on the ground.

Supposedly a lot of the territory now being ravaged was highly coveted by land speculators. However, they were prohibited from obtaining and developing it...except in the event of a "natural" disaster".

It's quite convenient coincidental.

Governor Green vowed to “protect” the land from foreign buyers looking to exploit the situation, The Post Millenial reported.

Why should foreign buyers be permitted to exploit our citizens when their government can do it better and keep the profits at home.
