I suggested the same thing on a thread on this subject a few weeks ago. A freeper stated he has relatives there trying to leave but for what passes for a government there refuses to let them leave.

Here are the FACTS re RSA: 1) the visa system is a lottery, which has to be paid for and for each person! 2)If you don't win a ticket, you have to try again and pay for it! 3) the UK and the Commonwealth nations are no longer taking ANYONE with Brit heritage in and that has been the case for years now 4) there is a rather small limit re the money and "stuff" that people are allowed to take out of the country...even fir just a vacation! 5) the Netherlands has NEVER taken in the Boers and look down on them.

The ONLY way that people CAN get out is getting a job with a major company, who will take care of the paperwork. Then, once in another country, if the person is single, marry a citizen later on. That; however, means leaving money in bank accounts ( i. e. losing it ), and whatever else one has in RSA. Though some of the rules re getting out for a job, may have been changed by now.
