(who in the H are “East Indians???)

Did you ever hear of--wait for it--the East Indies?

It's a time-honored term to describe the multitude of islands, peoples, and things dotting the vast eastern Pacific.

It's a huge area that's mostly water, not a very specific term, genetically speaking. A variety of groups have lived and traded there. If you haven't heard the word before, congratulations. You have now.

The “East Indies” is in SOUTH eastern Asia and nowhere near the migration routes of Asians to the Americas.
