DeSantis is a young man, and he has time to toughen up re: donors, but so far, on Ukraine and now the existential Trump issue, he looks like a weakling.
I would like to see a second source for DeSantis comments. I have long sensed he could be this cycle Jeb! Bush. This will all come clear in near term.

One of the things about Trump that many conservative appreciate is his ability to make the mask of civility and rationality fall off the faces of Leftists.
When that mask falls off, the twisted snarl of hatred is seen clearly in the light of day for everyone to see.
Trump seems to have the ability with Leftists akin to showing a cross to a vampire causing them to flinch or otherwise completely lose their composure involuntarily. I admit to enjoy seeing it in Leftists, but seeing it in erstwhile conservatives is painful and discouraging.
I am very saddened and disappointed to see this dynamic in action on Free Republic, and I was surprised to see that post and the way it was written.

Desantis will go down in history as one of the absolute worst candidates for president in the history of our country. When his second term is over he has no shot at anything in politics ever again.
The man is toast. Burnt toast. I can’t recall a man so lacking in charisma or likeability running for public office. Well, perhaps Charlie Crist is at the same level as Desantis now that I think about it.
I wouldn’t be shocked to see this guy bagging my groceries at my local Publix. His future is this bad at this point.
