There's certain cretins on FR who attack Rudy about his role in trying to pursue the voter fraud issue. They call him a failure, and say that he hurt Trump more than he helped. One individual here said Trump should have hired someone more competent. I asked them to name one existing law firm or attorney that specializes in uncovering voter fraud. Of course there aren't any. Other than Gore filing a lawsuit in 2000 to enable him to get re-counts in certain Democrat-run counties, it wasn't until the 2020 election, that anyone had to investigate ballot fraud on such a scale, in a National Election. Any of the lawyers who helped work on investigating the fraud, filing paperwork, and getting their cases heard in court, were learning as they went along, specifically finding tech experts to help them in their investigations. So, to call Rudy and the others incompetent, when no other attorneys had ever taken on such a broad task as the fraud that occurred in 2020 is foolish, reckless and ignorant. They were brave to do so, and should be applauded for their efforts.

I totally agree. Rudy took on the Mafia in a way that no one had done previously. And he won. Then Rudy cleaned up New York City.
And then came 9/11. Bush and Cheney went hiding in bunkers somewhere. But not Rudy Giuliani. He was right there, right on the front lines.
Then came the fraud of 2020. As you noted, it was uncharted territory. Some folks backed off, but not Rudy. For that, and for all of the above, he deserves the support and gratitude of every American.
Re: 12 - there’s plenty of law firms that specialize in the practice area of election law. Giuliani was out of his depth and it became apparent when he had Sidney Powell at at a press conference. Her crackpot theories wasted valuable time being run to ground, including the whole Kraken / CIA / Server Farm raid pushed by whack job General Thomas McInerney:

Now these are the same lawyers who ordinarily preach to us about how even the worst child rapist mutilator murderer deserves competent counsel - and all of a sudden that doesn’t apply to Trump.

And this is not the first time, although in the past the DOJ did it directly.
For example, Kim dot Com had great difficulty finding US counsel to represent him. And he alleged that Brandon van Grack (of Team Mueller fame) had gone around DC telling every law firm to stay away from representing Kim dot Com , or face retaliation.
In the case of Trump it was social and professional pressure from almost the entire legal profession.
