Character isn’t what you do because you are obligated. Character is what you do when you aren’t.

It is the obligation of every single citizen of voting age to vocally disapprove of this bullshit, and especially the obligation and responsibility (!) of those who seek political office to sound off and strongly disapprove of a sitting political party using the power of the government to go after an opposing political party's office seekers.
Regardless of standing on the ladder of political office, or current office one holds.
