Following the testimony of former Hunter Biden business partner Devon Archer on Monday, CNN published a report stating that Archer testified that Hunter Biden had been selling the "illusion" of access to his father, Joe Biden.
A source familiar with the closed-door meeting also claimed that Archer did not provide evidence connecting Biden to his son’s overseas business dealings.
Democrat Rep. Dan Goldman, who sat through a portion of Archer’s interview, told reporters during a break that Hunter putting his father on speakerphone during meetings with business associates was "part of the daily conversations" between the father and son, adding that "the witness was very consistent that none of those conversations ever had to do with any business dealings or transactions.
Goldman said it was "kind of a preposterous premise to think that a father should not say hello to the people that a son is at dinner with and that is literally all the evidence is."
The Democrat said that Biden’s phone conversations were not conflicts of interest because it "was not done in the furtherance of" his son’s business interests.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer told a different story though, revealing that "Devon Archer’s testimony today confirms Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he had no knowledge about his son’s business dealings and was not involved."
"Joe Biden was ‘the brand’ that his son sold around the world to enrich the Biden family," he said the value of adding Hunter Biden to the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma was "the brand," which was revealed to be Joe Biden.
Archer stated that "Burisma would have gone out of business if 'the brand' had not been attached to it."
Archer also testified that in December of 2015, Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky and Burisma executive Vadym Pozharski placed constant pressure on Hunter Biden to get aid from Washington DC in regards to Viktor Shokin’s investigation into corruption within Burisma.
That’s certainly a possibility.
A proper investigation would be needed to clarify the relationship between father and son.
Yeah. They are saying Hunter was defrauding his “custoners” and Joe was helping.
Curious, when the transcripts come out, if those calls to Joe were made to a burner phone Joe had. Surely they know if it was to Joe’s office phones or personal ones.

The phone is purposely not in his name, but in Hunter’s, but it traveled with Joe and that’s easy enough to prove. John Solomon called it - and Joe answered.
Joe Biden met with many of these Oligarchs and partners.
There are pictures of Devon Archer in the Vice President’s office with Joe.
If “the big guy” weren’t a plagiarizing, bribing liar, it would be conceivable that a son would be grifting off his father’s name all on his own.
However, we know that TBG is all of those things, along with a few other moral deficits.
It sounds as though Hunter might be in danger of becoming bus fodder.
I wondered why our local NBC affiliate used that same word “Illusion” when mentioning the Biden corruption for the first time.

CNN shouldn’t be a source for anything, other than knowing that the OPPOSITE of what they’re saying is true.

Representative Goldman’s excuseplanation (new word), even if true, is still evidence of a crime since deceiving someone by creating the illusion of access to something valuable is fraud by deception.
Not to worry, there is much more concrete evidence of “pay to play” arrangements starting to emerge. Evidence in which Hunter is just the bag man.
