It’s more plausible than that “aliens” learned to violate the laws of physics just to come over here are look at us, not to communicate, or trade, or invade, just to gawk from the skies.

Splitting an atom was once considered a violation of the laws of physics and then our understanding of those laws changed. It is entirely plausible that someone has a different understanding of the laws of physics than that which is popularly accepted.
I’m not saying “aliens” here but more likely our own military or some other murky branch of government.
