I’m very skeptical about the North Korea drones.
They developed nuclear missiles with help from Russian and Ukrainian companies. Part of this illegally acquired.

This is very different from build a modern drone for reconnaissance and attack.

The release of a 5-second video does raise questions about the extent of their drone capabilities. It is possible that they are exaggerating their capabilities for propaganda purposes or testing the international response to their claims. Why just a 5sec video?

While North Korea has cooperation with Russia, China, and Iran, these countries are more focused on selling drones rather than sharing advanced drone technology. It is unlikely that they would willingly provide North Korea with such technology.

When did the North Koreans take an US drone? Yes, because it looks like a copy of US drones. Did they just copy the design? Maybe.

Regarding Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu’s visit to North Korea, it is difficult to speculate about the specific topics of discussion. However, it is plausible that ammunition for artillery could be one of the subjects, considering North Korea’s large artillery capabilities.

North Korea’s military strength lies primarily in its nuclear power, artillery, and submarine forces.

With 8.500 pieces of artillery, N.k has like 25 -45 millions of shells.

The Communist countries inspired in Soviet doctrine keep 45 days of fire of each piece of artillery. We can calculate 100-150 daily fires.

As I’ve post sometime ago, the NK is an army of nuclear power, artillery and submarines. They haven’t reasonable armored vehicles or an air force. And less plausible tha NK has any modern drone.

While they may possess some basic drone capabilities, it is unlikely that they have the technology and resources to develop advanced and sophisticated drones for reconnaissance or attack purposes.

Modern drones require significant technological expertise, advanced sensors, communication systems, and manufacturing capabilities.

North Korea, despite its advancements in other military technologies, has not demonstrated the same level of proficiency in developing and producing advanced drones.
