The study said this damange was subclinical.
Subclinical: relating to or denoting a disease which is not severe enough to present definite or readily observable symptoms.
IOW, damage is so limited that it takes very sensitive tests to detect. No symptoms.

Tell that to mother who had 2 heart attacks, was in rehab for months and is now on a walker. Yeah, no “readily observable symptoms”. Strange how only one of her doctors would speak to me while the others refused to speak to me at all.
