Speaking in South Carolina today, presidential candidate Ron DeSantis blamed President Trump for the events of January 6, 2021, in Washington DC saying, “I think it was shown how he was in the White House and didn’t do anything while things were going on. Should he have come out more forcefully? Of course.” However, DeSantis affirmed he does not believe Trump’s transgressions amounted to criminal conduct. “But to try to criminalize that, that’s a different issue entirely,” the Florida governor noted.
Governor DeSantis then tacked to his preferred position that politicians should not be criminally targeted and promised if he was elected, he would do a more reach-across-the-decorum, saying “I think that we want to be in a situation where you don’t have one side just constantly trying to put the other side in jail.”
DeSantis pledging to return civility to the Dept of Justice comes on the same day the DOJ is about to deploy yet another indictment against the political opposition of the current administration. I’m not sure the civility DeSantis requires would be afforded by the institutions DeSantis supports. WATCH:

Here’s my beef with you.
It was absolutely apparent to me that not only did they steal the election from Trump, but made it punishable to even say this. The 3:00AM 100K+ vote dumps, after they “closed” counting for the evening, the suitcases under the table filled with ballots, the drop boxes filled at the last minute, tens of millions of unsolicited ballots sent out to home addresses without any form of verification as to who filled them out when./if returned, and the reports of voting machines switching votes—none of these incidents were allowed to be investigated.
Every time a legal challenge was brought up, the various courts quashed them over standing and other legal mumbo-jumbo. No court ruled on whether any of this happened or didn’t happen. However, the press kept repeating the false narrative that the courts “rejected” every claim of election cheating. But they did not, because they never let a single charge go before the court to its conclusion.
The people at the protest on Jan 6th had a very legitimate beef with the country, and protested, as is their 1st amendment rights, but were treated to horrific deep state investigation and judicial punishment on a scall NEVER seen in this land before.
EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN should have been outraged by this. If they could do it to Trump, they could do the same to any of the party—from JEB to DeSantis—because the Deep State is made up of the democrat party, some GOP establishment happy to get a seat at the table, and the Leftist elitists running the country’s cultural institutions.
We made thousands of posts on these crimes against the nation but all we did was for nothing. The Deep State won, enabled by short-sighted Republicans like yourself who are happy to dump the cheated Trump and hope it will never happen again.
That kind of perfidy is disgusting in my view.

If you think what happened on J6 was a 1st amendment right then you and I will never have one single thing to talk about. And that's ok.

Those few who actually committed violence were FBI informants, and a few suckers, much like yourself, but led into a different path called TDS. You cannot have TDS and like his supporters. Why even hang out here and insult us? Do we smell like Walmart people? Are you here to “treat” us deplorables?
The reason I say this is I can go anywhere on the web and find millions of articles on how awful Trump supporters are, and that we’re all cultists. You can believe this too, but it is a DNCMedia lie used to shut us down without hearing us out. But it isn’t an original thought and any logical person listening to both sides can see that supporters of Trump have good reasons to support him.
Those few who committed violence on Jan 6 should rightfully be in jail for using violence which is not peaceful protest.
However, that still needs to be contrasted with the entire Summer of George Floyd and Leftist violent protest, such as in Portland, Kenosha, Lexington and even the surrounds of LaFayette Park by the White house, including beatings, murder and arson. Practically not one of these (except the Seattle CHAP murderer) was punished for this. One kid fought back, they tried to kill him but he killed them in self-defense and was immediately given a legal rape over it.
The majority of those rounded up where just older folks who saw (and there is a ton of pictures and video of this that cannot be dismissed) the Capitol Police open the doors and let them in.

The charges against Trump are wrong and should not be happening, but they are, the question is what the Republicans and Trump will do about it.
