So good, especially the Jeb Bush

People have a sense that he is being managed and being told what to say. When he was Governor, he was popular because people thought that he was making his own decisions. We know that he’s the oppositional candidate to Trump.

This is july 23, primary doesn’t start until, feb next year. All Gov DeSantis has to do is hang in there until the actual primary election starts.

"All Gov DeSantis has to do is hang in there until the actual primary election starts."
And let someone else run the State for him while he's on the campaign trail, after he promised Florida voters last November to trust him to re-elect him for another four years. Good luck with that.

He wouldn't have any record for decision-making as Governor of Florida, if he didn't have a more than 2 to 1 Republican ratio in the State Legislature.

Polls this far out from the election, let alone the primaries, are an utterly stupid waste of time.

Why isn't Ron 50 points ahead?Another GOP loser?
To: mass55th
You’re probably right, but it still left the impression that he was his own man. Now, it looks like he’s more dependent on support without the ability to garner support on his own and it’s showing.
There is a saying that, when a person becomes President that he will either grow in office or shrink. DeSantis is shrinking as he approaches the thrown. I can see that he’s not ready for it. He really should have sought support of becoming VP by backing somebody else, because he’s not ready himself.

Listened to Brian Kilmeade today and he was lamenting the same thing, and then he said nobody expected Jimmy Carter to come out of nowhere.
So I guess he's hoping for another disasterous presidency like Jimmy Carter's.

I agree. I think someone or some people filled his head with a bunch of mumbo-jumbo, and he bought it hook, line and sinker. He should have just accepted the 2nd term the voters gave him, then ran in 2028. He would have been far more respected for it. By running now, he jumped the gun, and I think he's blown his chances for any future Presidential run.
