Bernays' is an excellent read. Available online in PDF format. Almost a century old, it remains an interesting read. His idealism suggests intelligent men can "bring order out of chaos." Given the inverse is also true, is is a bit one-sided with that optimism. Today, we might call it marketing. Done by social influencers. And YouTube "content creators." And sometimes order is meant to become chaos in the hands of some.
