The colors of the spectrum used to be, in order of wavelength (long to short) or frequency (low to high)

Red, Orange, Yellow Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.

However, a number of years ago, Indigo was removed because it was so close to blue in color that it could barely be seen as a separate color.

So now it’s Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet
