God also made the rest of the Cosmos. The Bible indicates that God was lonely, so he Created everything. Earth is a tiny speck in a very big place. If man were "all there were", why would we be located on the outer reaches of a small galaxy? Wouldn't we be at the center of everything, and that everything be a bit smaller? So, if the universe is so big, maybe He created more critters to keep him company than just us. Maybe his sense of loneliness is bigger than years.

I am unable to cope with the notion that we are the only civilization in the universe. It makes no sense, even from the Biblical standpoint.

I am unable to cope with the notion that we are the only civilization in the universe. It makes no sense, even from the Biblical standpoint.

Bible scripture is very clear that the universe is inhabited by a vast number of beings far more advanced than humans and that on occasion, some of these beings interact with humans.

These other beings are comprised of a substance very different from humans, a substance that might be described as nearly incomprehensible to present humans.

Biblical scripture also indicates a uniqueness to earth.

Isa 45:18 "For this is what the LORD says— he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited— he says: “I am the LORD, and there is no other.
