“extraterrestrials from distance star systems”

The concept itself is so confusing that folks who understand this subject laugh at the phrase.

How many centuries would it take before a race that colonized or lived on a planet could be said to be “extraterrestrials”.

If in fact we have some DNA from “extraterrestrials” or engineered by “extraterrestrials” then does that make us “extraterrestrials”?

It is language itself that muddies the waters.

I am persuaded by whistleblowers that the technology exists (portals, natural and artificial and combined) to travel any distance in space (and they claim time as well). In such a universe everything is “close” to everything else in the only way that really matters—travel time.

Yes! It isn’t certain that we originated here, or weren’t cultivated. At this point we’ve lost the sides to our comfortable little box. It is fascinating, but not terrifying as it seems for some.
