I'm not quite sure how that would work without eliminating credit and debit cards? For example, if you buy a cart of groceries that includes the "forbidden ice cream", it just shows on the credit card as a single aggregate transaction that is far too late to deny.
Also, if they somehow do "forbid" the ice cream at the point of sale, imagine the employee overhead in having to have an employee quickly re-stock the ice cream.
Tradionally our tyrannical government has little concern or sympathy for people or institutions inconvenienced by their heavy handed governance.
The more inconvenient and costly dictatorial government policies make it for lndividuals, hbusinesses and financial institutions the more they are forced to develop ways to do the governments dirty work of implementation and policing for them.
