Somehow this terrible politician won reelection by nearly 20% and over 1 million votes in Florida, won independents by 18% and the majority of Hispanics, he may not be Presidential material, somehow, he won two statewide elections in Florida, not bad for someone who is terrible.

I forgot to mention he got himself elected to the US congress multiple times before he was Governor.

Congressional elections are not presidential ones. We’ve only had 45 different people hold the office. His 2022 victory was a pat on the back for his job as governor during covid. Not all popular governors can translate that into being a president. Brian Kemp of Georgia had a very easy victory in his rematch with almost VP Stacy Abrams but no one, including Kemp, saw a path to the White House.

Florida’s demographics ren’t nationwide.

Real easy to get stuff done when your party controls all aspects of government and are willing to utilize it, unlike the congress R’s

The fact RDS was in congress throws red alarms for me.

I don’t want anyone who was ever in congress to seek higher office. Congress is the problem, ultimately.

I honestly am not sure who hates Desantis the most: Many freepers here or Democratic underground members on that sordid site.

Boggles my mind really.

“...he won two statewide elections in Florida, not bad for someone who is terrible.”

A politician can be terrible and still win elections. We as a nation would not be on the verge of extinction if it were not so.

“I forgot to mention he got himself elected to the US congress multiple times before he was Governor.”

He has something in common with adam schiff.

Notice his stance on the most important issue that is facing the nation — immigration. He cut and pasted Trump’s efforts. I can understand that, because you really can’t go beyond what Trump has put forth. So why not stick with the original.
