Surely you are aware that Trump had no ability to fire Milley after the Comey firing. After that, Graham and McConnell were very open that they would support impeachment for any more firings. Also Trump had to choose from McConnell’s list. McConnell the closet homo (kicked out of the Army) refused to go into recess for the entire Trump presidency to prevent recess appointments. He did it for Obama, but not for Trump.
Not to mention, among American generals and admirals, there is nothing else to choose from except woke. There is not a single three or four star extant that is different to the slightest degree. Probably nobody above Colonel.

But it was stopped cold by McConnell’s treason (refused to ever go into recess or let Trump appoint unless cleared with him, and threatened impeachment for any firings after Comey), FBI (Comey) and DOJ (Yates) immediately dishonestly moving against Mike Flynn.
And then there was an organized street terror and boycott campaign against anyone who would go to work for him. Walking around in fear at restaurants, being refused service, family members fired from unrelated businesses, personal careers ended. It was more than enough to dry up the pool of people who he wanted. He was left with family, very inexperienced, and Generals basically assigned to be Chief of Staff (while spying on him).
We have been in a forever war with Iran since 1979 and so far they have been getting unlimited free shots, though we did finally get Imad Mugniyeh and Soleiman.
I don’t believe that it is the document, per se, that DoJ is making use of. This recording shows that Pres Trump knew that he had sensitive documents, that not everything was automatically declassified by his thinking about it, and that he was showing sensitive documents knowing he shouldn’t.
This bit of tape will be used to go to intent and state of mind - what President Trump is saying, not the docs he’s holding.

I take it that you thought they were good people at the time? IMHO they were suggested to President Trump by people he trusted such as Chris Christie. Again IMHO these were people the RINOs wanted to keep Trump in “check”. They did not want him to upset the apple cart.
