The fascists are not on the Right, they are on the Left....no matter how much Leftists lie and try to claim that they are on the Right.
Mussolini and Hitler were both men of the Left. Both very much believed in socialism. The only real difference is they were willing to let business owners/managers stay in place to run the businesses - so long as those businesses did what the state wanted.

However, political terms can be defined in absolute terms and relative terms. In absolute terms, fascism, liberalism, and communism are all to the left as defined by an individual’s relationship to the government.
Political terms can also be defined in relative terms, as in relation to you. We are both conservative, but one of us is going to be to the right or left of the other within the continuum of conservatism. In absolute terms, we are both conservative. In relative terms, one of us is closer to being a liberal. :)
This is how liberals define right and left, relative to them. Fascism is on the right to the liberal, because liberals are to the left of fascism. They are to the right of communism. That is why, to the liberal, fascism is on the right and communism is on the left, because it is relative to them. In absolute terms, all three are on the hard right, but liberalism exists on a narrow band that is between fascism and communism.
