I am for the rule of law including immigration law, I am for limited government and the protection of individual rights, I want to see government power as decentralized as possible and I want to stay out of foreign wars.
They had a hard time objecting to any of the above.
I then tell them to note how that is diametrically opposed to fascism on every count. What they have now with more centralized power, with the government having more and more control over their daily lives including to the point of trampling on individual rights like we Americans enjoy such as the 1st amendment, the 2nd amendment, the 5th amendment etc is MUCH closer to fascism than anything I support.
They had a hard time arguing yet at the higher level in their brains it still did not compute....because they had always been told Right bad, Left good, and of course Nazis/Fascists were on the Right....

The mayor of NYC has advocated that illegals be housed in homes across the city. The day will come when the gov’t. forces those on SS to take in the homeless along with the government takeover of private homes. That’s communism in a banana republic.
