"A huge number of our fighters were killed. We will decide how to respond. The next step is ours," said Yevhen Prigozhin, head of the private military company Wagner. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that all the videos of the alleged shelling of Wagner's positions published by Prigozhin were untrue and constituted an information provocation.
"All the messages and video footage circulating on social media on behalf of Prigozhin about the alleged 'strike by the Russian Ministry of Defense on the 'rear camps of the Wagner PMC' are untrue and constitute an information provocation," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Russia’s National Anti-Terrorist Center of FSB said that a criminal case was opened against leader of Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhyn.
As informs Cemsor.NЕТ it was reported by Russian media. It is noted that the National Anti-Terrorist Committee of the FSB of the Russian Federation stated that the allegations spread on behalf of the founder of the Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhyn have no basis.
"In connection with these statements, the FSB of Russia has opened a criminal case on the fact of calling for armed rebellion. We demand an immediate cessation of illegal actions," the statement reads.
According to Censor.NЕТ, an audio recording of Prigozhin's statement was published in a telegram by his press service.
Prigozhin said: "Shoigu has just cowardly fled Rostov. At 21.00 he fled cowardly. In order not to explain why he raised helicopters to destroy our guys, why he launched missile strikes. This creature will be stopped," Prigozhin emphasized.
As informs Censor.NЕТ in the evening of June 23, the Russian army fired pa missile at the Wagner PMC camp.
In response, Prigozhyn the PMC leader announced a march on Moscow.

On evening of 23 June, armored vehicles were took to streets of Russian city of Rostov. Media reported introduction of ’Fortress’ plan in case of active actions by rebel PMC ’Wagner’.
According to Censor.NET, local media reported this.
It is noted that the local publication was informed that the Rostov police had announced the Fortress plan, and the personnel were informed of the need to be on full alert, according to interlocutors in law enforcement agencies.
"There is an order to put the entire staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Guard on alert and to strengthen posts on the border with the LPR and DPR. But there is no rush. The staff is just called up and called in," said one of the interlocutors.
The Rostov Regional Police Department has not yet commented on this information, promising to respond later.

Don’t wonder what will happen if Russia collapses. It already did! Years ago. It’s not a state, it’s a mafia front with factions fighting each other for money, resources, and power.
Whatever is happening now, it was already clear Putin wasn’t able to control every faction or to keep the infighting quiet or at least non-violent the way he mostly could before. The pointing fingers among Russian factions will increasingly be on triggers as Ukrainian victories multiply. The towers of lies will collapse and new, smaller ones built. Defeat will be denied, then blamed on rivals, then fake victory declared by the survivors.
Whoever keeps control, Putin or anyone else, will be faced with threats & instability. It is vital for the free world not to offer any lifelines to murderers. We do not expect democracy and liberty to suddenly flourish, but there can be no deals with Russian war criminals.
There will be attempts to use internal conflict as pretext for ceasefires, sanctions relief, and other charades to give Russia time to regroup and reload while occupying Ukrainian territory & continuing the terror. No. Do not let whatever mafia show that is now out in the open in Russia distract from the goal of Ukrainian victory. It is time to accelerate, not hesitate. Nice try. The “color revolution” (the Orange Revolution) began in 2004; Russia invaded Ukraine ten years later in 2014 and illegally annexed Crimea; Biden got the Ukrainian prosecutor fired in 2016.
Correct. All those things led to a destabilized region. Thank you for making my point. Oh and there were actually two color revolutions. But the 2nd one was just more of the same western influence gone awry.
Surovikin has just returned by the order of the Ministry of Defence (Shoigu), and he is calling on Wagner to stop.
I cannot see Wagner or Prigozhin joining up with him.
Surovikin works for Shoigu, who is the reason Prigozhin is fighting in the first place.
