[ Russians Were Not Prepared For This Attack | New Plan ]
••Day 483: Jun 21
Today there are a lot of interesting developments on the southern front.
First of all, Ukrainian sources reported that Russian forces tried to use a new tactic in order to recapture Piatykhatky.
After Ukrainians completely demolished Russian columns that tried to attack Piatykhatky along the main road, Russians started moving along the field roads south of Zherebianky in order to escape direct Ukrainian fire.
Unfortunately for Russians, some assault units blew themselves up on their own mines.
Even though Ukrainian fighters reported that Russians did not take significant casualties from mines, they noted that this had a huge impact on the morale and determination of the Russian soldiers.
In fear of mines, other units started being extremely careful and, therefore, slow.
So, when they faced Ukrainian fire, many Russian units knew that if they continued being slow and careful, Ukrainians would highly likely destroy them with mortars, which is why many of them promptly retreated in the first minutes of engagement.
Ukrainian fighters remarked that only convict detachments did not stop and continued to push because otherwise, certain Chechen units who reportedly act as blocking forces would kill them for desertion.
In the meantime, Ukrainian forces are successfully expanding their bridgehead westward.
If yesterday, I told you that Ukrainians started moving along the gully to attack Russian positions from the north, then today, several sources confirmed that Ukrainians completely captured this area.
The whole Russian defense in the region relies on a trench network located between Zherebianky and the forest.
Ukrainians were already spotted moving along the tree lines to attack these fortifications, so Ukrainians are around 700 meters away from the settlement, not only from the east but also from the north.
Moreover, some prominent Russian sources started mentioning that logistical problems appear not only on the Luhove-Zherebianky section of the road but also Lisne-Luhove.
Some sources also reported engagements between Ukrainian and Russian troops approximately 1.2 km away from Luhove.
This suggests that Ukrainians cleared the tree line west of the gully, which immediately exposed a plethora of Russian positions, and, most importantly, logistics - by controlling the fields right above these two settlements, supplying Russian troops on the zero line becomes an incredibly difficult task, which gradually weakens their defense.
In fact, Russian authorities just openly demonstrated that they are not confident about the stability of this front line by launching an evacuation of the regional administration in Vasylivka, which is 10 km away from Zherebianky.
Several days ago, the occupation authorities closed all governmental facilities, stopped giving passports and other papers, and moved to Vesele, which is 55 km south of Vasylivka.
Another reason why Russians are afraid that their defense may collapse in this region is that the reservoir has almost completely dried up.
As you can see, one of the driest regions is exactly around Vasylivka.
20 km of water have slowly turned into a desert, which Ukrainians may be able to cross and launch a powerful mechanized assault right in the least fortified part of the contact line.
Some analysts have already started building projections as to which settlement along the new front line is the most probable target.
Ukrainian High Command is already considering new possibilities.
While overseeing the ongoing battles along the current main axes of advance, where Russians have created an extensive system of fortifications with dense mine fields and large reserves, Ukrainian Commanders are also reevaluation the situation and looking for new weak spots or even out-of-the-box opportunities.
••Prigozhin said the situation is getting worse foe the Russian Army. And they have taken Urozhanie on the approach to Staromaiorske bypassing a Russian defense line. Also claims a group of UA soldiers is somewhere in the area of Tokmak - hard to believe, if true.

Prigozhin said Pyatikhatki under the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robotino, the northern part - under the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Harvest - under the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Near to Tokmak - the Armed Forces of Ukraine, no weapons, no ammunition, the soldiers even need grenades, they write letters to the command.
The information is being shut up, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are going to the Molochne Lyman lake, if possible, they will return most of the territories occupied by the Russian Federation.

But, Putin gets only the information that is upbeat from his generals. Putin says the UA has lost more than 200 tanks and 800 armored vehicles since the offensive began; that the loss is 50 tanks per day. Obvious nonsense, which even the Russian military bloggers understand to be complete nonsense [ FR trolls excepted ].
This nonsense from Putin raises the question of who exactly is running the Russian army. Not Putin, not Shoigu who is completely unprepared to run anything, let alone an army at war.
It could be that as the offensive goes on, Prigozhin will be the only one capable of mounting a force to hold the Russian lines.
But where will he go? To Ukraine? To Moscow? His main ambition is power, and eliminating all internal conflicts, form Putin, Shoigu, Kadyrov, & the FSB.

In there last 10 days, Russia has lost at least 6 KA-52s. Now they are using MiG-24 helicopters instead. It caries the same types of armament, but its aiming instruments are nothing compared to 52s.

Zelenski:
Advance of Ukrainian forces is not easy as 200,000 km² of Ukrainian territory is mined by Russian troops - Volodymyr Zelenskyy for Air Force
“Whatever some people want, including attempts to pressure us, with all due respect, we will advance on the battlefield as we see fit,” the president stressed.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also noted that the counteroffensive is slower than we would like.
“Some people think this is a Hollywood movie and are waiting for the results now. This is wrong. People’s lives are at stake.
No matter how far we advance in the counteroffensive, we will not go for a frozen conflict, because this is a war, this is a hopeless development for Ukraine,” the president said.
As for the use of nuclear weapons by the Russian Federation, Vladimir Zelensky does not believe in such a prospect.
Zelensky addressed world leaders with a warning that Russia is preparing to undermine the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.
“Our intelligence received information that Russia is considering a scenario of a terrorist attack at the ZNPP with a release of radiation.
They have prepared everything for this.
Unfortunately, I have repeatedly had occasion to remind that radiation does not know state borders, and who it hits is determined only by the direction of the wind.
We pass on all available information to our partners, all evidence - Europe, America, China, Brazil, India, Africa, the Arab world - all countries and international organizations should know this.
This time it should not be like with Kakhovskaya. The world has been warned.”

Mi-24 helicopter of the Russian Aerospace Forces crashed in Belarus. The helicopter crashed in the area of the M1 highway between Ivatsevichi and Baranovichi. Crew members were injured, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus reported. The reasons for the crash are being investigated.

Russia is furious with the Finns Party member Halla_Aho being the new speaker of the Finnish Parliament.
He (personally) paid the Ukrainians to write “For Finland’s Freedom” on a shell fired at the Russians.
He added “anything that contributes to the killing of Russian soldiers is right & necessary”.
