You don’t understand how suns die. Roughly 5 billion years from now, the Sun will exhaust the hydrogen fuel in its core and start burning helium, forcing its transition into a red giant star. During this shift, its atmosphere will expand out to somewhere around 1 astronomical unit. This means the Sun will gradually engulf Mercury, Venus, and likely Earth. Of course, we are talking billions of years into the future, so there is no need to worry in the next couple of weeks.
