I heard Barnes posit that this whole case is so corrupt that sometime next summer Biden will issue a blanket pardon for himself, Trump, H Clinton, and Pence, basically saying “It was all a big mistake etc.” and attempting to look magnanimous as a result. This might be what happens.

Seems to me that since President Trump pardoned Smith's previous victim, Smith could be out for some vengeance here. Sounds like a conflict of interest, to me.
