The Russian military, the second largest military in the world, may not be what it looks like. Lies and systematic corruptions may in fact have dragged Russia into this war with Ukraine, which has been heavily backed up by the US and NATO. We will present the evidence, you make your own decision, because the Russian Army, is not what you think.

Designed to support the U.S. Army Captains Career Course, “Understanding Combined Arms Warfare” defines and outlines the important aspects of modern combined arms operations. This is not a complete history of combined arms warfare. It is intended to highlight the most important aspects of the subject.
The beginning of the documentary establishes a common understanding of combined arms warfare by discussing doctrinal and equipment developments in World War I. The second part compares the development of French and German Army mechanization during the interwar period and describes how each country fared during the Battle of France in 1940. The film concludes by showing how the United States applied combined arms operations in the European Theater in World War II.

[ Nice. Ukrainians discover & Destroy Russian Mercenary’s Base ]
••Day 480: Jun 18
Today there is a lot of big news from the southern front.
First of all, today at night, there was a decisive battle for Piatykhatky.
Russian sources elaborated on their tactical retreat and said that the decision to abandon the settlement was made when Ukrainians established control over half of the settlement.
Russian fighters reported that Ukrainians felt the momentum and started reinforcing their offensive efforts, while Russian forces, in many ways, were cut off from their reserves.
Recent combat footage shows that Ukrainians finally started using mine-laying drones in large numbers.
Even though such drones cannot be driven far behind the front lines, they are very effective at mining the roads that go along the front line, especially those that connect Russian positions between the tree lines.
Today at night, Russian forces tried to make a counterattack and recapture the village, however, these attacks did not go well.
It turned out that after a successful assault, Ukrainians did not withdraw their reserves altogether, but rather scattered them in small units in the vicinity of Piatykhatky, which allowed immediate engagement and destruction of enemy forces.
Since Russian ground attacks were almost immediately rebuffed, Russians doubled down on using their artillery and aviation.
Russian forces reportedly pulled in the region thermobaric artillery systems and also utilized their assault helicopters.
Russian sources showed several damaged and destroyed pieces of equipment inside the village, claiming that this was the result of work of KA-52 assault helicopters, while the Ukrainian General Staff confirmed that they shot down 2 such helicopters.
Eventually, in the morning, most Russian sources admitted that Ukrainians managed to entrench and now hold tight control over the settlement.
Some Russian analysts pointed out that the fall of Piatykharky means that Russian positions in the tree lines around this settlement were, to a large extent, cut off from supplies and would either be abandoned or captured in the next days, if not hours.
Other analysts reported that Ukrainians have already started regrouping and accumulating forces for the next attack in this region, namely, a lot of infantry reinforced with tanks and armored vehicles.
It is expected that there will be at least 2, but more likely 3 series of attacks: 1 or 2 to clear the flanks and widen the bridgehead and 1 on Zherebianky.
Ukrainian fighters from 47th Mechanized Brigade released footage showing that their drone operators have already started destroying Russians in the next trenches on the line.
Russian control over the situation on the zero line has also greatly diminished because Ukrainians conducted a successful precision strike on the command post of the Russian 80th Brigade.
Today, multiple Russian sources confirmed that Russian officers indeed suffered a strike.
Ukrainian sources reported that in the aftermath of a successful Storm Shadow missile strike, Ukrainians eliminated up to a dozen officers.
Another powerful strike happened a little bit south of the main action, namely in Mykolaivka.
Here, Russian forces recently redeployed a lot of forces as reserves due to the increased risk of a breakthrough in this direction, so there were many bases in the vicinity of this settlement.
Today, Ukrainian fighters reported that in the aftermath of the last strike, Ukrainians eliminated 170 Russian troops.
It was also mentioned that the eliminated detachment fully consisted of contractors, not mobilized soldiers.
But the biggest news today is that Ukrainians have destroyed a massive ammunition depot south of Melitopol.
News sources on both sides are speculating that this is also the result of the Storm Shadow missile strike.
The location was quite obvious, as the Russians were spotted building and filling warehouses right on one of the official train stops on the way to Melitopol.
Satellite footage shows that the explosion completely wiped out all the buildings in the region and also damaged those near the warehouses.
Overall, today’s successes on the front line, in combination with the destruction of the commanders, reserves, and warehouses that were responsible for the stability of this region, create very favorable conditions for further advancement.
••Speculates on where the main thrust could happen.
Lots of ammo and supply lines destroyed. Key was the railway station and ammo supply depot at Rykove which cut supplies to the Zaporizhia region. Also depot sites in the south on the Crimean border.

The Russian Army is built as a railway-supplied army, and they rarely use roads and highways.

Russia lost 2 KA-52 copters early in the day and then another in the afternoon - making a loss of 3 of these attack helicopters at $13 million each in one 24 hour period. This marks the loss of half of the KA-52 fleet since the invasion began.
Recent information indicates that all of the KA-52 helicopters, it recently sent to the Berdyansk airfield, have been lost.
The sanctions prevent Russia from producing more because they rely on Western made parts. Pilot training takes years. Crew ejection takes place through the top - the rotor blades separate allowing ejection.
But if anything goes wrong or they are too low, no ejection is possible, and every one dies. Russia has tremendous loss of aircrews on these low-flying copters.
==
No information on the losses from yesterday’s strike on there Russian Command building.
No information on Kadyrov’s best buddy’s condition.
==
Western media releases panic articles on the offensive - it’s all over, in short. Again.
The media does not realize how slow all the extensive mine field and the continually mine scattering artillery makes progress. Also without Western planes and more long range missiles, progress slows and more people die on both sides.
Aviation works for the Russians, but not for Ukraine and that makes things worse than it needs to be.
==
Estonian Intelligence estimated that 10% of all Western gear, since Feb 2020, have been lost.

On the fronts as of the end of the day on June 18, 2023
Belomoskov, Belgorod, and Siver shades - unchanged .
The matchmaker shade is unchanged. Heavy fighting continues in Bilogorivka (L).
The Bakhmut shade - fighting continues to the west and north-west of Klishchiivka: the Defense Forces are successful. The situation near Berkhivka is yet to be clarified.
The Avdiiv shade - the enemy tried to improve his tactical position north and south of Maryinka, but was unsuccessful. A shooting battle took place near Pervomaiskyi: the result is unknown.
Berdyansk direction - artillery damage is inflicted on the enemy. Rumors about Staromayorsk do not correspond to reality, the enemy is sitting there.
Zaporizhzhya flavor - expect official information from one mountain-assault brigade in Pyatikhatki.
Taurian shade - no changes.
••Kremlin officials resort to drinking to cope with the war stress - The Telegraph. According to the publication, high-ranking members of the Russian government come to meetings drunk, drinking vodka, cognac and wine during the day.
A particular increase in drunkenness began in March, when Ukraine began talking about a planned counteroffensive, and Putin was put on the wanted list by the International Criminal Court.

From the Daily Telegraph this afternoon:
The British Government has introduced new legislation which enables sanctions on Russia to be kept in place until Moscow pays compensation to Ukraine.
The new package will now “state that sanctions can also be used for the express purpose of promoting the payment of compensation by Russia”, according the statement, meaning sanctions could remain in place even if Moscow stands down.
Foreign Secretary James Cleverly said: “As Ukraine continues to defend itself against Russia’s invasion, the terrible impacts of Putin’s war are clear. Ukraine’s reconstruction needs are – and will be – immense.
‘Through our new measures today, we’re strengthening the UK’s sanctions approach, affirming that the UK is prepared to use sanctions to ensure Russia pays to repair the country it has so recklessly attacked.”

Defense Ministry: ‘Difficult situation’ in Ukraine’s east as Russia deploys more forces
by Dinara Khalilova June 19, 2023

“Russia has deployed more forces to Ukraine’s eastern frontline in its attempt to advance toward Lyman and Kupiansk and seize the initiative, Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar reported on June 19”
“Moscow has concentrated “a significant number” of its troops in Ukraine’s east, in particular the airborne assault units, she added.
Earlier the same day, the U.K. Defense Ministry wrote in its intelligence update that Russia had begun relocating its forces from the eastern bank of the Dnipro River to strengthen the Zaporizhzhia and Bakhmut sectors.
On June 15, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said Russian troops were redeployed from the southern sectors to the Bakhmut area.”
