From all the objective sources I read this is what happened:
*government tests high aerial reconaissance balloon carrying sensors that detects nuclear explosions in the USSR from the upper atmosphere
*It falls outside Roswell
*Government comes in and grabs their property
*Decades later is when the alien and UFO stories start despite the 30 years since 1945 having not even one person talk about aliens or UFO’s
*From then on stories start embellishing and snowballing, including people who claimed to be witnesses yet they themselves only heard stories from a friend of a friend
More likely real UFO stories with validity would be like the sheriff in new mexico in the 1960’s who saw what he said was a small craft taking off right as he arrived in a desolate area he was patrolling
So, you believe that the men of the only operational nuclear bomber group are too stupid to know the difference between a balloon and something else?
