I thought this was a conservative forum.

Zeepers are not conservatives. They refuse to think.
In an ideal world, conservatives would have enough brain power to evaluate information, and enough integrity to not substitute reactivity for thought.
That is a fascinating response to aMorePerfectUnion.
When prosecuting a criminal or civil trial as when evaluating a scientific paper, one often takes diverse sources to build a case. When one only cites ideologially-approved sources, cases are sometimes poorly judged and scientific conclusions sullied.
I look at to-the-right of many articles posted on FR, and also look at to-the-left to glean what others are saying. The Overton window, thrown open, allows many more bits of data from many more sources than a closed down Overton window. Conservatives, as with the name of this site Free Republic, should be free to seek broadly.
I have read "Mein Kampf" and some of the evil, early Goebbels but am no National Socialist. I have read Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, but am no Communist. I have read a little of Gentile, but am no Italian Fascist. I have read some of the Koran, but am no Muslim, and some of the eastern works but am no Buddhist nor Taoist nor Hindu. I have read the U.S. Constitution, have a copy on my bookshelf, and am a democrat and a republican at the very same time, because with little "d" and little "r" the words represent something far different than the corrupt in DC currently would have people believe.
If you can answer the question, "what sources would you ban on Free Republic," you are not demonstrating a love for freedom, inalienable rights, and liberty for all.
This forum is named "Free Republic" with jolly good reason. Good thoughts to both, with a mind to what is truly free.
“I thought this was a conservative forum.”
YOU ARE TOTALLY CORRECT!
“Free Republic advocates a return to constitutionally limited government, reserving all government powers not expressly delegated by the constitution to the United States to the States respectively,
or the people, emphasizing sovereign state governments, local government, self-government and self-rule, while restricting government powers to only those enumerated in the constitution and maximizing individual rights and liberty as originally envisioned and established by our Founding Fathers and secured and defended by the blood of patriots and statesmen for over two hundred years.”
