No sane general would even attempt a counteroffensive against the Russia military given the huge advantage Russia has in ammo, weapons and man power.

I’m reading that the russians knew in advance where and when the first attack would come. That was the reason that General Gerisimov was on the scene directing the russian response

Without watching the video I can tell you that Russia has a military synthetic aperture radar satellite. It can see through smoke, clouds etc. with a resolution of 1 meter or less. Of course, the US probably has the same tech, as synthetic aperture radar is used for weather observations and such.

I believe a picture is a substitute for a thousand words which people would generally use to describe something either factual or ridiculous, and so here is this picture that I found on the inter webs which may or may not convey what it is that I'm thinking either seriously or in jest, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Or are as alarmed. Or not.

Meaningless report. SAR has been in the world of imaging for decades. It’s not magic.

But in a very general way, Ukraine is the first war in the history of mankind in which both sides had superb, near realtime, orbital recon. Pictures other timeframes and other wars had huge processing delays.

The Russians in the Ukraine have an advantage. The tech for both US and they are essentially the same, but the US imaging has to transmit via multi hop back to NRO offices for construction and interpretation. The Russian spacecraft are line of sight to their download points in Russia.

A good estimate would be hours difference. And it’s an advantage that cannot be countered.

Submarines are also likely visible to satellites.

Gravity signature, SAR looking for waves, highly sensitive magnetic sensors, and direct imaging in various wavelengths are possible methods.

I can imagine “Biden” “authorizing” an anti- satellite operation soon.

Is that any less crazy then blowing up a pipeline.?

A victory for Ukraine would be to come out of the conflict still holding on to the Dnipro and Poltava regions. The western Donbas and parts of Zap., at best, will become DMZs.

After 2014, the sovereignty of Ukraine over Donbas and Crimea was questionable at best, and likely illegitimate.

The best geopolitical outcome for the RF is for the Western Ukraine Rump State (WURS) to join the EU. The EU (and by extension USA taxpayers, of course) will be burdened for decades with propping up a corrupt collapsed state and will have to raise taxes (5-10x worse than supporting Greece after their crisis).

What about die-hard Azov ideologues and paid globalist puppets? They will do whatever they are told.

It’s a “game changing” satellite? You mean it’s like the unstoppable hyped-up not-so-hypersonic missile? So it’s not changing a damn thing, is it? Just more propaganda from a fading empire and its army of trolls and fanbois.

Oh, so those last two successful counteroffensive should not have happened?

I will alert the Ukes so that they can withdraw to their pre-offensive boundaries.

No sane general would even attempt a counteroffensive against the Russia military given the huge advantage Russia has in ammo, weapons and man power.

That must be why some Russian volunteers are still holding a village of 5000 people inside Belgorod Province in Russia.

Russia has such a great military they can't even defend their own border.

Video here.
