Update on the conflict in Ukraine for June 3, 2023
- Ukrainian cross-border operations are spearheaded by militants identified by even the Western media as N*z**; MO< - Ukraine has increasingly relied on terrorism following the loss of Bakhmut and a growing missile and drone campaign being carried out by Russia across Ukraine;
- New “security assistance” package from the US Department of Defense to Ukraine includes munitions reflecting Ukraine’s growing shortage of air defense capabilities;
- Talk of tanks and warplanes are admittedly for Ukraine’s use in the distant future, not for the upcoming offensive;

Today the commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps stated they continue conducting a special operation on the Russian territory, successfully drawing even more Russian forces to the Belgorod region.
Judging by the latest geolocated footage, the fighting in and around Tavolzhanka and Shebekino continues.
The headquarters commander of the insurgent forces claimed that Russian forces no longer have full control over these towns.
He said that the Belgorod People’s Republic gradually becomes a grey zone - people have abandoned their houses, regional administration and police are no longer functioning, while thieves and raiders are busy looting their neighbors.

The Commander of the Freedom of Russia Legion reported that irregular Russian forces, such as police and border guards, turned out to be completely incapable of protecting the border, which is why Russians are primarily resorting to shelling.
Given that the insurgent forces maintain a presence in Russian settlements, Russian forces are wiping out their own towns and villages because they are unable to push insurgents behind the border and keep them out of Russian territory.
The Institute for the Study of War assessed that the Russian Ministry of Defense continues
to respond disproportionately to these raids to project confidence and competence.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that they relocated additional elements of the regular Russian army and conducted heavy air, artillery, and flamethrower strikes.
The Ministry also mentioned a deployment a whole motorized rifle battalion.
Local residents confirmed these claims and posted footage of various reinforcements entering the region.
As we can see, Russian forces continue relocating thousands of troops and heavy equipment to the Belgorod region.
And this is extremely good news for Ukrainians.
Not only does it mean that Russian defense in Ukraine is becoming weaker, but it also means that logistical hubs are now full of military personnel and equipment that Ukrainians can destroy while they are still in transit.
And this is exactly what Ukrainians are doing.
During these 3 days of special operations in the Belgorod region, Ukrainians conducted more than 100 precision strikes, specifically on the areas of forces concentrations.
One of the biggest strikes happened today in Berdyansk.
The footage shows the aftermath of the Russian air defense work and indicates that Ukrainians used up to 10 missiles.
Some of the missiles were shot down, and their remnants indicate that Ukrainians used Tochka-U.
Other footage confirms that some Ukrainian missiles managed to reach their targets, and
while the Ukrainian General staff is estimating Russian losses from today’s strike, more information became available about yesterday’s strike.
Yesterday, Ukrainians struck Berdyansk with around 6 missiles.
Russian sources reported that Ukrainian used Strom Shadow missiles.
Satellite footage clearly shows the complete annihilation of two huge warehouses in the harbor and also the significant destruction of the Azovkabel factory.
Several sections of the factory were completely demolished, although the northeastern part
seems to be still usable.
Today local residents also reported hearing at least 5 huge explosions near Melitopol. Later, it was reported that Ukrainians targeted Russian logistics and destroyed some facilities near the railway.
Ukrainian official Petro Andryushchenko reported that Russian forces are replacing old and
worn equipment in southern Ukraine, including T-72 and T-62 tanks and air defenses, which
explains strikes on logistical routes.
Ukrainians also conducted a series of HIMARS strikes on Russian logistics in the east because
Russian trains are passing through this region.
Russian sources claimed that Ukrainian forces targeted the eastern outskirts of Alchevsk with four HIMARS rockets.

Overall, the activity of the Ukrainian Air Force and precision artillery reaches all-time heights.
And this is not surprising because Russians decided to make a great migration, which turned out to be a huge mistake.
First of all, Wagner forces are leaving Bakhmut, DPR forces are being relocated from Marinka to Bakhmut to substitute Wagner, while Akhmat forces are being deployed to Marinka to substitute DPR units.
Secondly, in anticipation of the counteroffensive operation, Russians are replacing old and worn tanks, armored fighting vehicles, and air defense in the Zaporizhia region.
And thirdly, Russians are reinforcing the Belgorod region with Motorized Rifle elements.
This means that the railways are working at full capacity, and logistical hubs are full of targets.
That is why Ukrainians are conducting hundreds of strikes along the whole contact line.
••Bakhmut:
PMC mostly withdrawn. UA still using limited forces here, but managed to force Russians to withdraw slightly on he southern flank.
Russia has deployed elements of the 76th and 106th VDK (airborne) Divisions, plus two Separate VDK brigades. Note: These are not the same quality VDK units as Russia had at the start; they are much degraded and less flexible.
Prigozhin said that the southwestern outskirts of Bakhmut were abandoned by Russian troops and again came under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Shebekino is now the hottest spot in the war. Long range artillery and drone strikes abound. Freedom fighting Russians bought their gear in local firearms stores, captured lots of tanks and armored vehicles and a few helicopters - all perfectly normal according to Russia in 2014. Aka, payback in same coin to Putin for 2014.
Russian freedom fighters claim to have captured some land near the town - not confirmed yet. They are not able to take as much territory as their last incursion, but with the wild fires from artillery strikes by both sides, the devastation is more dramatic.

Zelenski said they are ready to go, but only have marginal weaponry to liberate all of Ukraine. Therefore, it is hard to predict how the counter offensive will develop.
They need more Patriot systems because that is the only system that can shoot down SU-35s and others at a long range, preventing them from firing their air-to-ground missiles at Western tanks and other equipment.

Prigozhin says the PMC will deploy to the Belgorod region without asking the MoD, Shoigu. This is a new step in the internal escalation between PMC, RGF, Putin, and the FSB.

The Russian government has lost the ability to control who fights where, against whom, with what.
This is the straight forward road to civil war between the various Russian clans.
Prigozhin talked directly with Kadyrov and the situation between them is in hand. But he PMC is ready for a direct conflict between the PMC and the Ahmad Battalion.
The PMC will win the bloody conflict because it has more resources and more soldiers; the Ahmad Battalion has only poorly equipped 3,000-4,000 soldiers.
PMC “Wagner” threaten the Kadyrovites to repeat the Chechen war and destroy everyone. In 1999, the battles for Grozny began, and in 2000 the Russian army wiped it off the face of the Earth and occupied it. “We can repeat Grozny 2000”, these are the pictures that Prigozhin’s PR began to distribute.

Ok, new information from the night attack
Two Russian missiles hit the operational airfield near Kropyvnytskyi said the Airforce Commander.
During the night attack of the Russians on Ukraine also:
4 out of 6 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles were destroyed;
3 out of 5 Shahed-136/131 UAVs were shot down;
there is damage to infrastructure facilities in the Sumy region.
Russia started to use the missiles and drones more smart.
It seems like with the current air defense the Kyiv region is the most protected. The rest of the Ukrainian territories are much less robust against the Russian attacks. Bad news, we need more air defense ...

The Pentagon proudly announced that US artillery ammunition production is now up to 30k rounds PER MONTH, and they hope to double that by 2025. The Russians average about 25k rounds of artillery ammo PER DAY, with surge capacity to 75k rounds per day. And now the US is begging Japan to produce explosives for them, in order to supply the demand for US artillery shell production.
