Consider the form of government such a single “global authority” might take. I would imagine a tyrannical fascist state where such concepts as individual liberty, free speech, freedom of thought or religion would be outlawed and most of the world’s population would be little more than serfs. Of course the ruling elites would live in luxury, continue to fly in private jets, travel in limousines and enjoy the finest foods while the rest are forced to live in poverty, eating their ration of bugs and be restricted to travel only by walking or bicycle.
A precise summation. I’ll add that our “superiors” will make their dehumanized serfs worship (sacrifice themselves to) Gaia (earth).
