Comment #30 was quite clear that you, cuz, were not the source of the abusive, disgusting comment that besmirched the pages of FR comments in this post.

Meanwhile no one has mentioned the fact these biolabs in Ukraine were there from the Soviet days of Russian rule. Unlike their nuclear stores from Soviet days, the biolabs were NOT returned to Russia they way the nukes in Ukraine were at the time of the end of the USSR. Who knows when these virulent flu strains were developed/identified?

While Ukraine no longer has its own nukes, it by signed agreement has the word of Russia and the US that Ukraine will be protected from invasion—UNTIL IT IS NOT! Oh well, we should know by now you just can’t trust the Ruskies. Meanwhile Ukraine still has these biolabs.

The prevailing winds blow mostly from Ukraine into Russia and make creating nuclear fallout in Ukraine a danger to Russia. Thus a cause for some Russian restraint in using nukes in Ukraine. By the same logic when winds are blowing east, dangerous bioweapons could be launched in Ukraine and sent into Russian territory. I imagine drones could do the job. Let’s call this the bioweapon deterrent, similar to the nuclear deterrent. Perhaps all the Pooty Pals here who love to wave the nuclear threat should keep that in mind before they flaunt their nuclear scare porn again.

That's a very cogent point, gleeaikin! I confess that I hadn't considered it (or had been subconsciously dismissing / suppressing it the whole time up until now - because it's a pretty scary scenario!).

Thanks for your insights!

Regards,
