Threats and the fear of such things are far greater and more frequent than any actual physical attacks. As a family man, Schroder would fear threats and harm to his wife and kids far more than any risk that he would face.

Schroeder always seemed like a decent guy and out of place in Hollywood, although he was excellent in NYPD Blue.

Being a little kid in that environment, I hate to imagine what he might’ve gone through.

The circumstances he sights are strange. Older guys showed & gave him this video. Why? A warning, to punk him? He shows it to someone, who I would presume to be an adult, who tells him not to watch it again. Then says to give it back to whoever gave it to him. If this person was privy to this activity & that video was so incriminating why didn't that person confiscate & destroy it. Or keep it & get authorities involved. Also doesn't ask about it's provenance. If someone handed me something like this the first thing I'd ask is, where did you get this?
I don't doubt crazy things are going on but this recollection has got to many holes in it to amount to anything but an unsubstantiated heads up. If you're going to put your butt on the line you need iron clad proof or be prepared to be labeled a nut who only gets a head shake chuckle out of people.

An evangelist I knew decades ago, Robert Sumner (he snorted when he preached - LOL), wrote a book in the mid-’50s, “Hollywood Cesspool”. Book description is, “Movieland lives and morals. How religion is portrayed in movies.” I know Dad had a copy in his study.
