My interpretation is that the convicts that were recruited by Prigozhin are not included in the 20,000 dead.
I believe the total number of russian KIA, Wounded, or MIA in or near Bakhmut is 100,000, of which 20,000 were Wagner mercenary KIAs.
The term "Pyrric Victory" is going to be changed to "Bakhmut Victory".
A Bakhmut victory is a victory that inflicts such a devastating toll on the victor that it is tantamount to defeat.
