John Thune Will Endorse Tim Scott for 2024 GOPe Nomination – It Is Time for the Senate to Protect Its Interests

In backing Scott, the Senate minority whip becomes the highest-ranking congressional Republican to back the South Carolina senator. And he joins his South Dakota colleague Sen. Mike Rounds in backing Scott, who is popular among Senate Republicans. Some members of House leadership have already indicated they support former President Donald Trump’s campaign.
But Thune is making good on his hopes of turning the GOP away from Trump and presenting a more forward-looking vision for the party. Thune recoiled from Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, famously declaring that his election challenge would go down on the Senate floor like a “shot dog.”

Why is it weird?
One, it means the person is far too disconnected from the day to day life of regular Americans.
Two, with no distractions, it leaves them with nothing but time to screw with us.
Three, with no progeny, they care less about the world they leave behind. We worry about our kids.
Four, without a damned good excuse, it’s not alpha. It’s weird for a man not to want to bed down a woman. Makes a guy like that hard to trust.

Here’s what Tim has been working on. This is how he’s helping the middle class out of this Economy and eradicating Corruption in the highest levels of Government.
His record is piss poor. We got on Elizabeth Warren for doing nothing while running her mouth. I don’t think Tim Scott has introduced much that has been passed even.

My friends it’s up to the GOP voters in SD to deal with it where no one has stepped up. He did good taking on Daschle. This endorsement is much ado about nothing. Won’t cost him anything.
Our problem is when they go beyond 2 terms. It’s on us. Cassidy runs again in ‘26. Pray for his retirement but don’t count on anyone taking him on.
